Cuando vio las fotografías de la Ciudad de Buchen, inmediatamente se le vinieron memorias a su mente: Alemania. Su corazón, ó parte de él, todavía estaba allá; exactamente en Heidelberg. Luego por asociación Egon recordó a Anselm Kiefer; el ilustre Maestro, el Maestro Formidable del Bull-Shit!
The Bald Mezzo–Soprano

The sea, blue, green blue, not one cloud… Egon smokes a Romanoff cigar and swings slowly on the hamaca; a sea bird crosses the space graznando and glides… The shadow passes swiftly and from her bird’s eye she sees the pure white sand of the beach and the palm trees as well, and the gardens and bungalows of the luxury hotel. The fresh air runs free. The sun hasn’t reached the zenith yet, but sometimes a warm wave can be felt. In a short time that place will be a furnace for sure.

They claimed onto the hill: Batman and Egon Montezuma. Egon couldn’t believe it, and he said to Batman, “Show me that you are the Devil, show me that you are Satan. The Prince of Darkness, show me!”
L’ affaire Anselmo Kiefer
Me voici installé au restaurant Zum Riese en train d’écrire. Hier, Georg et moi étions occcupés à mettre des titres aux tableaux. Ça a été toute une affaire pour les transporter d’un endroit à un autre. Plus tard j’ai vu des sculptures tout en plomb avec des titres prétentieux, comme Le Jugement de Kiefer, Catherine d’Autriche. Était-ce toute l’histoire moderne sous l’œil inquisiteur d’Anselmo? Plus loin, un immense mannequin de Joseph Beuys, momifié, comme on le faisait en Égypte, pour, l’éternité. J’imaginais l’Ange Exterminateur en train de juger Anselmo. Joseph Beuys a fait beaucoup de dégâts avec son slogan proclamant que tout le monde est artiste.
